I am trying to understand how I came to write these words. For my own healing perhaps? Words can heal and they are medicine. As a physician and teacher, I have witnessed the power of the balm of words as it spreads across the heart. I have seen miraculous healing and lives transformed with the medicine of words. I have seen the soul like a whale swimming to the surface of the ocean, dancing across the waves, and breathing in the holy remedy of words.
